Sam Mayer scored a walk-off win in the NASCAR Xfinity Series race at the Charlotte Motor Speedway Roval to advance in the playoffs.

Parker Kligerman’s team was celebrating on pit road when NASCAR ruled that he had not taken the white flag and the race would go to overtime.

NASCAR is headed to Charlotte Motor Speedway for another weekend of Cup and Xfinity Series racing. Both both series, the race at Charlotte is the last opportunity for those fighting in the Playoffs to secure a spot in the Round of 8 which will start in Las Vegas on 19-20 October.
