Mirra Andreeva capped a career-best week by capturing the biggest title of her career, defeating Clara Tauson to win the WTA 1000 Dubai Duty Free Tennis Championships on Saturday night.

Clara Tauson, ranked 38th, has three career WTA titles, the most recent one at Auckland last month. She is chasing her own history of being the first Danish woman to compete in a WTA 1000 final since Caroline Wozniacki. Clara Tauson becomes the 2nd Danish player to reach a WTA 1000 singles final.

Andreeva will now meet either Karolina Muchova or Clara Tauson in the final, chasing her second Tour-level title and a career-high world ranking.
