ROME, Italy – The leaders of France, Italy and Spain on Friday, October 11, condemned the recent targeting of the United Nations peacekeeping mission in Lebanon, known as UNIFIL, by the Israel Defense Forces and said such attacks were “unjustifiable” and should “immediately come to an end.”

Israeli forces have acted illegally by shooting at positions used by U.N. peacekeepers in Lebanon, Italian Defence Minister Guido Crosetto said on Thursday, denouncing it as a possible war crime.
