WWE NXT Superstar Je’Von Evans had a major match against the 14th WWE World Heavyweight Champion Randy Orton. The developmental brand NXT recently made a transition to The CW Network. Last week, the debut episode saw former WWE Champion CM Punk making an appearance on the show.

WWE icon Randy Orton has high praise for young "NXT" star J'evon Evans after their match on last night's episode.

Randy Orton defeated Je'Von Evans on the October 8th episode of NXT. Orton won the match with an RKO, but didn't quite catch him with one out of nowhere. Orton tried to catch Evans with the RKO as Evans went for his twisting moonsault, but just missed with it. Orton ended up picking Evans up and hitting a regular RKO for the victory.

During the main event of last night’s episode of WWE NXT, Je’Von Evans botched what was supposed to be an RKO out of nowhere spot, jumping off the turnbuckle for a corkscrew, but failing to align correctly with Randy Orton’s arms.

NXT GM Ava announced that Wes Lee, Ethan Page, and Je'Von Evans will compete in a triple threat match on the October 15th episode of NXT. The winner will challenge Trick Williams for the NXT Championship at NXT Halloween Havoc.
