In a pregame interview before a game against the Los Angeles Dodgers, the Mariners skipper talked about how good the team's minor leaguers have looked so far.

The Seattle Mariners and manager Dan Wilson have Spring Training to figure out a consistent rotation involving outfielder Mitch Haniger. The latter was the odd man out in a logjam once the Mariners traded for Randy Arozarena midseason.

Hancock, a former first-round pick, is the sixth man in the Mariners group of pitching studs. Both he, and his manager, spoke about handling that role on Sunday.
