Investigators in Hamilton say they are searching an Ontario landfill for any evidence that could lead them to a missing 40-year-old woman. Shalini Singh was last seen by family and friends at around 7:10 p.

Hamilton police are searching the Glanbrook Landfill site at 1500 Haldibrook Rd. for Shalini Singh, who has been missing since Dec. 10.

“This is the first time Hamilton police have looked in a landfill of this size to try and locate a person,” Det. Sgt. Daryl Reid said of the “systematic” search for Shalini Singh, a 40-year-old missing woman who police believe was killed in her downtown apartment and disposed of through a garbage chute.
