Krispy Kreme is celebrating the nation’s first responders with free doughnuts and coffee. On Monday, Oct. 28, first responders can get a free doughnut of their choice in-shop or in the drive-thru on National First Responders Day, according to the Charlotte-based cafe.

Chris Johnson, 39, of Douglas, has been arrested and charged with 17 counts of abuse of a dead body following a disturbing discovery at Johnson Funeral Home.

On Sunday afternoon, the owner of Johnson Funeral and Cremation Services in Douglas was arrested after an investigation. Chris Johnson was arrested at his home by authorities and taken into custody, according to Douglas Now.
