Black Ops 6 is the next entry in the hugely popular Call of Duty franchise and is set to launch on October 25. It will be the first Call of Duty title to be added to the Xbox Game Pass service at launch following the completion of Microsoft’s Activision Blizzard acquisition last year.

And Microsoft's decision here also seems to be part of a pattern. The company temporarily removed its $1 offer ahead of Starfield's splashy release in 2023, too. But, remember that you don't need Game Pass to play Black Ops 6. You can buy it on Steam and from the PlayStation store, too, when the game releases on October 25.

Microsoft regularly runs promotions for Xbox Game Pass, especially when trying to bring new subscribers into the fold. One of those promos is often a $1 introductory period for new members, but that option seems to have disappeared for now as Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 nears its Xbox Game Pass launch.
