Mana Pass area is around 52 km north of Badrinath Dham and over 310km from Dehradun. 50 workers have been rescued by the team, whereas the search operation is underway to evacuate th remaining 8 workers.

Uttarakhand Avalanche Updates: 57 road construction workers were stationed in the BRO camp at the time of the incident, informed Deepam Seth, Uttarakhand's Director General of Police, while speaking to NDTV.

Personnel from ITBP and the Army are engaged in the rescue operation, Uttarakhand Chief minster Pushkar Singh Dhami said.
