Ryan Murphy has heard the questions about the naming conventions of his various FX series, but he doesn’t see the validity in them. The TV mogul tells Deadline that he would “strongly disagree” with suggestions that Grotesquerie should have been under the American Horror Story banner,

Murphy points to the first shot we see on Grotesquerie episode 1, some kind of hanging fabric catching fire. "That is a burning hospital curtain. That's what all of that gauze is," he reveals. "That's [Lois] behind the hospital curtain.
