If all goes to plan, two NASA missions called "SPHEREx" and "PUNCH" will be sharing a ride to space very soon.

Now scheduled for Sunday, NASA will launch two separate missions on the same rocket, SPHEREx and PUNCH. SPHEREx will help us better understand the origins of our universe, while PUNCH will teach us more about the star that’s closest to home.

NASA and SpaceX are gearing up for an exciting double launch, sending the SPHEREx and PUNCH missions into space. SPHEREx will peer into the universe’s origins, shedding light on the first moments after the Big Bang and searching for life’s fundamental building blocks.

NASA is preparing for a fresh rocket launch this week from Vandenberg Space Force Base in California, carrying two distinct scientific missions—one focused on studying the sun and the other exploring the depths of the universe.
