Wicketkeeper Rishabh Pant, who took a blow on his knee, was seen doing some light batting practice on Friday. Pant did not keep wickets for India, but will bat if required in the second innings.

The first Test match between India and New Zealand in Bengaluru saw the Men in Blue struggle on its own turf as they had to settle on a historic low against New Zealand. The Indian Cricket Team are now trying to fight back as they bat against the Kiwis.

Rishabh Pant was unable to take the field and keep wickets on Day 3 of the first Test against New Zealand due to swelling on his right knee, the same one he had surgery on following a car crash. Dhruv Jurel took his place as a precautionary measure.
