FORT MYERS, Fla. — Third base has received a lot of attention at the early part of camp and Triston Casas kept it going Tuesday at Fenway South. The day prior, Sox third baseman Rafael Devers was asked if he would be willing to DH following the arrival of Alex Bregman, who also plays third but has a Gold Glove.

The Boston Red Sox have a great problem to have, with too many good third baseman on the roster and some loud voices.

Alex Cora said several times last week that he’s not going to criticize players for comments they make to the media, even when those comments stir up a controversy. He respects that they have an opinion.
