The San Diego Padres are headed home for the offseason. They couldn't muster any offense behind the inspired pitching of Yu Darvish and lost to the rival Los Angeles Dodgers 2-0 in the decisive Game 5 of their NL Division Series.

San Diego will send Yu Darvish to the mound while Los Angeles will have rookie Yoshinobu Yamamoto pitching in front of the home crowd. Darvish (7-3, 3.31 ERA) and Yamamoto (7-2, 3.00 ERA) both have excellent arms and will attempt to win the series for their squads.

Game 5 of the National League Division Series has all the pre-set narratives of a classic: bitter rivals, superstar players and managers who can’t wait to get to their bullpens. The winner gets to play the New York Mets in a coast-to-coast National League Championship Series.
