Nokia ( NYSE: NOK) is in discussions with Bharti Airtel about securing a multi-billion dollar agreement to provide 5G telecom equipment to the Indian mobile operator, which is bolstering its network, Reuters reported citing people with knowledge of the matter.

The deal is expected to boost the vendor's revenue in 2025 after Ericsson experienced a decline in contracts from India in H1 2024.
