It's Halloween, but that doesn't mean the Wordle has to be scary! If you're stuck, we can help you figure out the Wordle answer for today, 31st October. For the uninitiated, the aim of Wordle is to work out a daily five-letter word within six guesses. The fewer the guesses, the better - and if you fail to guess it at all, you'll break your streak.

The NYT Mini is a quick and dirty version of the newspaper's larger and long-rumgys, there are between three and five clues in each direction on a five by five grid, but the puzzles are sometimes larger, especially on Saturdays.

The popular brainteaser was launched by The New York Times in June 2023 and has gone on to become the newspaper's second-most played game behind Wordle, another word-based puzzle. Connections challenges players to uncover threads connecting a series of words.
