FORT WORTH, Texas - Fort Worth police are investigating a shooting that left one person dead. Officers were called to the intersection Miller Avenue and Richardson Street shortly before 11 p.m. on Saturday. Investigators found a man sitting in his car who had been shot multiple times.

Police responded to a shooting at 10:53 p.m. on Oct. 19 at the intersection of Miller Ave and Richardson Street, police said.

The Fort Worth Police Department fired one of its officers who shot a man while off duty last month. William Martin called 911 around 4 p.m. on Sept. 3 and reported that a red Ford F-150 hit his vehicle and fled.

A Fort Worth police officer who shot a man while off-duty last month was fired Friday following an investigation, police said in a news release.

Fort Worth police said they parted ways with William Martin for a hit-and-run shooting. His criminal attorney did not mince words about their decision.
