The focus remains on Luka Doncic after the Dallas Mavericks traded him to the Los Angeles Lakers earlier this month. However, Doncic wasn't the only player to find a new home in the deal as the Mavericks acquired Anthony Davis and Max Christie from Los Angeles.

Christie is predominantly a spot-up shooter and finished possessions in isolation on 1.1 percent of his possessions for the Lakers, per Synergy, and is now up to 12.5 percent for the Mavericks. So they are allowing him to play with the ball in his hands more often and it has led to success.

The former Lakers player couldn't believe that he had been included in the league-altering trade that saw Luka Doncic head to Los Angeles.

Max Christie scored 15 or more points in the first six games of his Mavericks career, achieving a feat Luka Doncic did not accomplish.
