Championship treble winners Wakefield Trinity have been confirmed as a Super League club for 2025 after the highly-anticipated IMG gradings were released this morning.

Wakefield Trinity CEO Craig Barrass insists the club are both elated and relieved after their return to Super League was officially rubber-stamped. Love Rugby League exclusively revealed on Tuesday that Trinity had been given the green light to be re-admitted back into the top-flight under IMG’s gradings for 2025.

Wakefield Trinity ’s place back in the Betfred Super League is set to be confirmed on Wednesday when the sport’s governing body and its strategic partner IMG release their first official grades which will determine the make-up of next year’s competition.

IMG's rugby league gradings will be revealed this Wednesday morning, with Wakefield Trinity reinstated into Super League. The West Yorkshire outfit will return to the elite competition after a year in the Championship, where they secured an historic treble.

Matt Ellis insists the club have done enough under IMG for a place in Super League in 2025 - and could even secure a Grade A yet.
